Empowering women through cooperative development

Partnering with NEPAD‐SPANISH FUND to empower women through cooperative development, FIOM Rwanda is carrying out activities in the district of Kayonza, Ngoma and Kirehe (Eastern Province of Rwanda), which enable cooperatives of rural women comply with government legal parameters and equip them with key analysis tools, improve their social‐economic status and develop the capacities of local authorities.

This action encompasses trainings of women community‐based groups to build their capacities and facilitate them to become legally recognized cooperatives, awareness campaigns on cooperative movements promotion, setting in place of processing unit and provision of relating equipments.
