Program for Responsive Beekeeping Value Chain in Eastern Zone of Rwanda

Funded by Palladium International Ltd via Rwanda multi‐donor civil society Program “Ikiraro cy’Iterambere”; FIOM Rwanda is currently working with 16 beekeeping cooperatives in Kayonza, Gatsibo and Nyagatare Districts in the Eastern Province of Rwanda.

Generally, the project intends to achieve the effective responsiveness of beekeeping value chain for meeting both domestic and external market requirements throughout a strong partnership among beekeeping stakeholders (public, private, civil society and community). Specifically, the project has the following objectives:

- Increase the production of bee‐products (honey and hive‐delivered products) in the eastern province.

- Establish collaborative mechanisms or Partnership Bridge among beekeeping value chain participants using approach of dialogue at national and local level
